Empowering Women Through Menopause Workshops: A Memorable Birthday Celebration in Leeds
As I reflect on the wonderful birthday weekend I had, I can't help but feel grateful for the privilege to be part in menopause workshop in Leeds, organised by the incredible Marcia and Nicola, founders of Selfcare Saturday.
The event brought together a diverse group of women, each on their unique menopause journey, eager to learn, share experiences, and embrace this new phase of life.
Connecting Through DIY Cooling Sprays:
One of the highlights of the workshop was when all the ladies engaged in making their own DIY cooling sprays. Laughter filled the room as we mixed and each lady created a personalised sprays to help them through those hot flashes and night sweats. It was not just about the cooling spray itself; it symbolized the unity and support that emerged from women coming together, fostering a sense of camaraderie among us.
Menopause Bingo: Learning with Fun:
The menopause bingo game added a delightful twist to the workshop. As we played, we learned about menopause symptoms in a light-hearted and entertaining way. The game brought out our competitive spirits and encouraged us to engage in open conversations about the changes our bodies were going through. It was a reminder that learning doesn't have to be dull; it can be enjoyable, too.
A Personal Connection:
Jacqueline Golding's presence at the workshop added a personal touch to the event. As she read a chapter from "The Secret Diaries of Menopausal Women," the room was filled with nods of understanding and appreciation, as we recognised ourselves in her words.

Breaking Taboos and Embracing Vulnerability in sharing her own struggles and triumphs during menopause resonated deeply with every woman present. It was a reminder that we are all part of a larger community, supporting and empowering each other through this transformative phase of life.
Taking Charge of Our Journey:
Sharing Our Menopause Stories: Empathy and Connection:
During the workshop, we found solace in sharing our menopause stories with one another. From the joys and challenges to the fears and triumphs, we discovered that we were not alone in our experiences. The power of empathy and connection became evident as we found strength in unity, encouraging one another to embrace this new chapter of life with confidence.
Gratitude and Hope:
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful ladies who attended the workshop. Your presence and enthusiasm made the event truly special. Special thanks go to Marcia and Nicola for their thoughtful gesture of gifting me beautiful flowers on my birthday. Leeds has a special place in my heart, and I am overwhelmed by the messages of joy and appreciation from those who attended the workshop.
Transforming Lives: Results That Matter:
As a results-oriented person, I am elated to hear from women who have purchased products from Shhh… and have already noticed positive changes in their menopause symptoms in less than a week. Witnessing the positive impact of our efforts brings hope and motivates us to continue our mission of supporting women through their menopause journey.
The menopause workshop in Leeds was a gathering of like-minded women seeking support, knowledge, and empowerment. Through shared experiences, laughter, and learning, we found strength and solace in one another. The journey doesn't end here; it's just the beginning of a transformative process where we embrace menopause with grace and confidence. As we move forward, we look forward to creating more opportunities to uplift and support each other in this beautiful journey called life.
